Toddler Room

Rachel graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2015 with her Bachelors in Human Development and Family Science with a concentration in Early Childhood Development and Education. Upon graduating, she worked as an Assistant Teacher in the Infant Center until 2020. She then relocated to New Hampshire with her husband, Jake, and worked as a Toddler Teacher at the Child Study and Development Center at the University of New Hampshire. A Connecticut native, Rachel and her husband decided to move back to be closer to family and she has again found her home at the Child Labs, this time as a Teacher in the Toddler Room.

Rachel greatly values the importance of building trusting, warm relationships with the children in her care. She recognizes that all children learn in different ways and have their own unique sets of skills and interests. Rachel delights in the curiosity and discoveries that young children make as they explore their world. Additionally, Rachel enjoys mentoring the college students working in her classroom, making connections and modeling developmentally appropriate practice.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and being around any and all animals.
