Rachel Boltseridge

Teacher

Preschool 2

Rachel is currently a teacher in Preschool 2 at the Child Labs, where she has worked since August of 2006.  She received a BA in Child Studies from Charter Oak State College. Rachel brings her love of laughter to the classroom, celebrating the joys and excitement of being a preschooler!  She encourages independence and discovery as the children navigate and explore their environment, helping each child meet his/her full potential. Rachel believes in the importance of supporting effective problem solving and effective conflict resolution strategies, both significant life skills.

Working with college students is very rewarding for Rachel.  She finds that college students bring a fresh look at the way children develop and they bring new and exciting ideas into the classroom.  Rachel’s focus is technology in the early childhood educational program and she attends workshops to keep abreast of the rapidly changing field.

When she is not teaching, Rachel spends time with her three children, Gabriella, Isabel, and Luis, all of whom attend or have attended the Child Labs. She enjoys hiking, spending time at the beach and cooking special meals with her family.
