Tracy graduated from Saint Joseph’s College with a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education and has been at the Child Labs since January 2006. Tracy tries to create a classroom that is first and foremost a community. A community in which all children and families feel welcomed, comfortable, and nurtured. Connecting with all children and their families on an individual and personal level, as well as providing responsive nurturing care to the children is most important to her. Building trusting relationships with families and children alike is key to providing quality care and education to the children. When entering the classroom, Tracy looks forward to interacting with each child individually, fostering social interactions between children, and witnessing their growing development. She also looks forward to providing the children with opportunities to support their learning and growth, as well as playing right along with them and sharing in their exploration of those experiences. Tracy feels very honored to be in a position to care for Infants and Toddlers and foster their continued growth.Tracy likes working with the college students because she is able to support them in learning about quality care and education for young children. She enjoys supporting them in understanding the importance of building relationships with children and guiding them to learn about their own strengths as teachers. In her free time, Tracy likes to read, spend time at the beach, decorate and renovate her home, landscape, watch the New York Giants, and spend time with her husband, family and friends. Tracy looks forward to learning every day from the children and growing in her own understanding of what makes a quality teacher.
